Cosmetic Tattooing

There may be moderate swelling, redness and bruising for the first 3 days.

If you experience swelling, use an ice pack for no more than 15 minutes at a time to reduce swelling.

During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own. This usually takes place within the first 3 days.

Expect the colour to lighten up to 50-70% once the healing process is complete.

Color may appear uneven at different stages of healing. Be patient. This is a process that does not yield immediate results.

Permanent makeup ink is not the same as body art ink, and by design it does not last as long as body art ink. Permanent Makeup does fade and is expected to last 2 to 5 years before requiring a touch-up. Maintenance touch ups are suggested for best results.

It can take 2 sessions prior to achieving the level of saturation you may desire. Touch ups are not included in the cost of the initial Lip Blush procedure.

Appointments are booked on a 2-3 hours basis, allowing for thorough consultation and treatment. Tattooing time varies for each treatment.

We begin by mapping out your new brow design with makeup and use various measuring devices to create ideal symmetry between both eyebrows.  Over 4 years of cosmetic tattoo experience and continuing education play a crucial role in choosing the correct needle size for each clients specific skin type as well as correct colour choice for each skin tone. 

 The 2-3 hour appointment is extremely interactive to help keep clients nerves at rest.  Our clients have access to a mirror throughout the entire appointment to check in and watch the process whenever they would like to.  Healing is a simple process. There is no scabbing, no need to hide or take time off work, no down time at all. We send clients home with a moisturising ointment to apply throughout the following 10 days.  

It depends as each person’s skin, age, health, lifestyle, metabolism is so different for each individual. Also the technique used can be different too. We say usually about 1-3 years. Oily skin types tend to fade faster than dry skin types.

Every client has a new, single use needle.  At the beginning of the treatment you can observe the needles being taken out of a sterile pre-packed casing.  On completion of the treatment, the needles are placed into a sharps container and then disposed of correctly.

Everybody has a different level of pain tolerance but most clients are completely comfortable and relaxed during the appointment. You may feel slight discomfort but the results will far outweigh this. I have even had a few clients fall asleep during the procedure.

Permanent Cosmetics are not safe for women who are pregnant or nursing. Pregnancy can cause undesirable results due to hormonal changes in the body.

We use local topical anaesthetic cream both immediately before your procedure, and during your procedure. It is both for client comfort and also to constrict the blood flow which leads to a better result. We are unable to supply clients with topical anaesthetic cream as it is deemed to be a medication. Clients will need to order their own numbing solution and pay for it themselves as part of their own cost. It needs to be ordered ASAP to allow for manufacturing time and also post from our supplier. The parcel will arrive at our studio and be stored in the fridge until you're appointment. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY ANY NUMBING BEFORE YOU ARRIVE AT OUR STUDIO.

Most clients leave the appointment with no redness.  The numbing solution used during the appointment helps to control any swelling or redness which means you can continue your day with no funny looks or questions. Your results will vary depending on skin type, lifestyle and the immediate and long-term aftercare of your new tattoo. Once healed (after 4 weeks), the colour will reduce by 30-50%. Patchiness and lightness can be perfected during your second session.
